We get numerous emails per day from people attempting to register who become shock and surprised to get a message or email from the system saying their email has been banned and then they email in asking what have they done to get banned when they have never been here before?
I thought leaving a sticky message here for potential registrants to read might help clarify the situation a bit and save a few email back and forths.
You have not been personally banned. It DOES explain in the registration process that we do not accept registrations from "free" type of email accounts (like hotmail and yahoo, etc.) and that you must use your real name and not a "handle" or nickname.
In your excited anticipation of joining the craftweb discussions on hot glass, it is likely you missed noticing this portion of the registration instructions and were then surprised by the system message saying that your email has been banned.
You can easily remedy the situation by re-registering using a regular fee-based email account (some examples might be comcast.net or earthlink.net or whatever paid-for ISP you are connecting to the internet with) and your real name and all will be well.
We look forward to you joining the conversation at Craftweb.
