From the Seattle Times (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003484492_chihuly19m.html). No juicy details, though. :(

I hate to use such a transperant analogy but, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
I will have to visit the new studio next year. I wonder who will work there? Later, TC ;)

From the end of the article....
"The settlement caps a legal fight that seemed to cast a pall over Chihuly's operations at a time when the artist was struggling with depression from bipolar disorder. He has maintained a high public profile in recent months, and his studio and publishing company continue to release new work and art products for children."
What on earth are the art products for children about?????

I think they probably mean this (http://child.etsu.edu/programs/childstudy/chihuly/chihuly.htm) and this (http://www.childrensmuseum.org/themuseum/fireworks_ofglass/exhibit.htm). Check out the "Games" on the second site. (She's a lefty!) :D

We have a Chihuly childrens' art set chillin at the studio that came from the gift shop in the Tacoma museum. It's a shrink wrapped, red zippered nylon box that contains squirty bottles of paint and ideas for parent-guided art activities. Dale is hangin out surrounded by macchia on the wrapper. We were careful not to take it out of its box so it wouldn't lose value.

I was once at a really crappy fall gift/art retail show and there was this guy there who painted canvases that looked just like bob ross. The guy proudly exclaims, " I graduated from a masters certification classes from bob ross " or something like that. The guy clearly thought that his "certification" by bob ross was a selling point (which with this crowd it probably was). Straight to the dump after a short exhibition in the local trailer park.

I have that same shirt! I think it was meant as a gag for kids who's parents were into Bob.
It's great, Bob's face and the words, Happy little trees, below. Got it at Target 2 yrs ago.
What would a Chihuly shirt say below the picture? I saw a piece at the Pilchuck auction years ago that was a portrait of Dale. It was called "Icon". This might be the thing for a shirt. With one space added. Later, TC :headbang:

Bob was "amazing", but when we watched that stuff, he was second fiddle - totally.
