I know how everyone loves to offer travel advice so here goes... My parents are headed to Maui and love glass. Are there any hot shops or galleries they might be able to visit?
Also, what are the "must do" activities for Maui?
Thanks,

Hot Island Glass in Makawao. Chris Lowry and Chris Richards, beautiful work and a nice studio/gallery. Perhaps one of the best examples of such in the whole world.

At the resort just south of Kehei there is a large gallery selling high-end work. Lots of Chihully, Taiglipietra, etc.
Chris's place (mentioned above) is real treat. A hot shop so quiet that he works to classical music. Very clever equipment.

Chris and his partner Chris (thats business partner)
have the best gig going in the islands. Well worth the trip to Makawao, and really the best place for glass on the island. They are a couple of melow, low key guys that make great glass. Give a call for directions etc,

Sorry I didn't see this sooner...
There are only two open shops on Maui right now. Ours, Hot Island Glass, and Worcester Glassworks. There are a few other shops, and if your lucky you can check them out, but they really are not open to the public. Drop us an email, if you need help finding us or if you need any other help Info@hotislandglass.com.
Thanks for all the comments out there, we try to keep a nice shop and gallery going. I'm off to change our burner right now, it's been getting a little loud lately. Not too much into the classical, but we do like to keep the music down, don't want to bother the customers....
Polly does work for us now, as well as Miles... they have been the best thing for the shop in a while. Hope we can keep them around for a while.
