pot swapping

Using my motorcyycle lift to move my bike got me wondering about moving a pot around. Numerous heat treating and ceramic setups use a setup like this. slide into place and perhaps jack it up into place and/or hand apply a gasket.

I saw a setup in Sweden where the bottom of the furnace dropped out down into a basement area where the new pot was being fired from green in a kiln. Old one off the base, new one on, elevate back into place. It had a sand gasket where the base sealed against the firebox wall. They changed at summer and winter vacation so the pots only went for 6 months max.
