My question is about solid state relay cooling.
should it be mounted on a radiator, or fan cooled?:typing:

I gave kind of a flip answear last night Patrick. Always mount S.S.R.s on a radiator base. If you have a big enough enclosure you can get away without using a fan. A fan however will help ensure the relay stays cool and doesn't burn up because those things often stick "closed" and the cost of the relay is pretty insignificant compared to an entire annealer full of melted work.

Don't forget about using the grease that carries the heat from the SSR to the cooling fin array, or your transfer rate will be way down.

There are a couple of layers of special paper that goes between the SSR and aluminum fins, where it is mounted. I have always used Continental SSR's supplied with all of the necessary parts.
Never mount an SSR in a hot place, like on the side of a hot annealer etc. Mount it on the wall, either on a board or in a box depending on the setup. Some come with a cover that makes it codeworthy to mount it in the open on a board.
SSR's are far more trustworthy and longer lasting than mechanical click clicks, as long as they are kept cool enough.
