Anybody use this stuff? I ordered some to use as a seal for a small front loader door but the ends seem to fray where it is cut to length, is there a way to keep that from happening? My thought was to mix up some fiberglass resin and dip the cut end then trim it?

I'm thinking if you try heating it with a Mapp torch to melt it a bit.

We use it on our annealer and did as Henry suggested, seal the fray with a quick pass of the torch flame. We also used a thin strip of stainless steel riveted over the thin flange of the gasket material to secure it to the frame. This too eliminated the problem.
