seeing as i don't have henrys book anymore, whats the yield when making silver bromide. how much should i cook to get a desent amount. thanks....i'll search the archives for the recipe.i'm sure it must be there. vic

The recipe in glassnotes calls for a quarter pound of silver. You could use about an ounce of silver and that would last you quite awhile. 28 grams Silver Nitrate/19.5 grams Sodium Bromide. If you want more or less figure out how much silver nitrate you want to buy and multiply that weight by .694 to find how much sodium bromide to use.
