Anybody ever have their Kastolite 30 exhibit efflorescence after the plastic was removed and they have sat for half a week. A couple of my castings, mainly the back wall piece, have a fine white fuzz coming off them. These are the castings that I added some calcium aluminate to. Is this bad for the casting to do before I fire it up to temp? I am assuming it will go away once it is fired, right? Should I do anything in the interim? I took one of my control samples that I made with some of the leftover castable and the stuff is hard as a rock. I took a screwdriver and ice picked at it and it barely will scratch the surface so the stuff is tuff. Should I be concerned?
