Hi-

I'm located in central New Jersey and I was wondering if there is anyone in the northeast (within a couple of hours driving time) using Spectrum Nuggets with an electric furnace...

If so, I was wondering (and am willing to pay for it) if you would let my partner and I stop by and see how it handles/works.

I also have a fair number of questions about it, and I don't really want to bore everyone here, so I would contact you directly or off line.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Guy

Hi. Thanks.

Yes, the Spectrum 96 nuggets.

The issue isn't with me. I am without question the newest hot glass guy around. I've been doing commercial glass etching for ages, but just getting into the hot end.

My partner/mentor/teacher has been around for 35 years. He has built numerous gas furnaces and currently uses SP87. He is an amazing guy and an unbelievable glass maker but I'm afraid he may be set in his ways.

(Actually, I think if it was up to him we would make our glass from scratch.)

I want to start the relatively fast, relatively easy way. I can always expand my horizons later. I want to learn to make work for now. I would prefer to concentrate on skill building rather than on the tech side at the moment.

I was hoping that it we could find someone in the northeast where he could try it, he might like it...

Thanks again,

Guy

try Colby Glass Studios
29 Haven Avenue
Port Washington, NY
the phone is 516.721.4162
ask for Colby Lippman
don't be surprised if he doesn't answer on the first try
he works mostly alone

also I believe that Hot Soup in Philly uses System 96 nuggets

Thanks very much.

The funny part is I actually go to Philly to work so I can just run over to Hot Soup.

Thanks again.
