Awhile back I posted asking if anyone had ever put paper on top of the crown before stacking on frax. Nobody replied saying that they had. Well today we replaced the pot on our 150 lb bottom fired gas furnace. "almost 200 charges" thanks pete !
Well anyway the bottom layer of frax came off with no sticking at all. Just a fine layer of white ash. Looks like that will be standard procedure from now on for me !
