Pipes refurbished - Wow!

I sent 5 standard pipes back to Steinert a couple weeks ago asking for straightening & they offered the whole enchilada (clean, de-scale, replace grips & mouthpiece). They came back and man am I loving it. These pipes were 5-8 years in service and they came back like new. About 60% of the cost of new.

They did a great job & I feel like a new man.

We just sent several pipes back to Stienert for "refurbishing" They came back almost brand new - sweet! :D We're very happy campers

They will start to scale again before too long. Even with the head replaced, the end of the pipe is somewhat fatigued and that will be the source of the scaling. I used to have about two inches cut off of the pipe before rewelding. It is still a very nice way of extending the pipelife and I used to do it.

They cut the head off and flip the pipe around. The scaling won't start until you get it re-furbished the second time.
It is a nice service that they do. I had many pipes re-done....in fact, I've had some that were done enough times for John to tell me to just let it go....;)
