crucible usage question

Is there anyone out there who uses 14 inch crucibles just for colored glasses? I am thinking of the EC 5564 which holds about 75 lbs.

I've got an ancient 14" pot in my color furnace, from Leclede, I believe. It must be twelve years old. I fire it up about once a year and melt transparents, no reds, in it.
