I have avoided a new design for a couple years but the 75 pounder has me pretty excited.
I am thinking of a new design based on a 22" pot that would be 15kw (63a 240 1 phase) with 2200 watts per cubic foot and retailing for about $18,000,00.
The question I have for anyone with two cents is would a 10" or 12" door be appropriate?

I have found the door size on my 300 pound Stadelman very well sized.
It would be my choice of door size for a 200 pound furnace as well. It provides the room to make large gathers, and can be opened less to conserve heat during the smaller gathers. I used the same door size on my 150 pound gas furnaces for 20 years before the switch to your furnace. Works for me.

Just my opinion steve, but a 12" door is huge. Unless your a caster, I see no reason for a door that big. Personally, I like a 9" door.

The door on my 200lb is 12". Very comfortable to gather from.

OK Steve....just because you're such a great guy I will publicly volunteer to try out two of these (one with a 9" and one a 12" door) to test the best door size for you. Included at no extra cost will be detailed pros and cons of each design. ;)
