My friend has had underwhelming experiences in his fusing and lampworking classes, and after observing some similar courses I am pretty sure I can do as well by myself with books/DVDs (The language barrier here allows not very knowledgable people to set themselves up as instructors) - or at least make better progress even if I do take an intro course.
So I am putting together an Amazon order, and would like to include some lampworking books/DVDs. Recommendations?
I'd also appreciate suggestions for additional offhand-blowing books - I already have:
GlassNotes of course
Ed Schmid's instructional books (not Bathroom Reader)
Art of Fire Book/DVD set by Jim McKelvey
Giberson's Glassblower's Companion
I deeply regret missing out on Bill Gudenrath's visit to my Tel-Aviv studio (damn that day job!) - but the CMOG video series are just 1/2 hour each running time... are they worth it?
Any other suggestions?
