Yeah it's #2 on reddit, the title seems a little misleading though. It sounds like they've just come up with more efficient electrolysis which can be used to store energy. I don't think it is really specific to solar power at all. Sounds like it's just some clever marketing of their discovery to me, everyone is talking about solar power lately so they figured they could get better exposure if they threw it in there. That said, there are a lot of applications for electrolysis so it will be very useful. Maybe it'll give fuel cell engines a bit of a kick start.
