Saw these photos on the Glass Furnace site. I'd never seen encalmo done like this, but then I ain't even been around the block yet. The first photo (http://destek.pilli.com/cam/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=7600&g2_serialNumber=2) is Lino marvering a white cane piece. In the second photo (http://destek.pilli.com/cam/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=7603&g2_serialNumber=2) it appears to me as if Lino is doing an axial (??) encalmo, i.e. in line with the pipe axis. The white cane with another dark solid. I think the third photo (http://destek.pilli.com/cam/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=7606&g2_serialNumber=2) shows the piece on a (different ?) pipe w/ Dave Walters (?) providing some air. I wonder how he got the cane piece from bubble to shell ... collapse one half onto the other half? Cut it? And at least 1 xfer between photos 2 and 3 ?
