I found this: http://www.glassblower.info/one.php?id=newfislervilleglassworks&map=no

What ever happened to the rest of the Naples NY equipment, I see you have the glory hole from that studio.

Unless I'm mistaken (and he bought used stuff from other places, which I doubt) it's sitting in one of his other outbuildings. He showed me the furnace and annealer that he bought from the guy. He'd like to sell it if you're interested.

As for his shop, it's beautiful. Missing some stuff (pipe cooler, color box, etc) but beautiful none the less. There are only about 4 or 5 of us who currently rent there, so when you work there it is like having your own studio.

Best of all he melts an incredibly nice glass. Glasma batch. I had only used Spruce Pine and Spectrum 96 before, and even for a bum like myself, it's amazingly nice stuff.

Nope, I'm the one that built it originally for the Naples art and craft Center a few years ago, and I recognized the glory hole in the picture. I puzzled why he didn't repair and hook up the furnace instead of buying a new gas furnace.

Hi Brian. The naples equipment is in storage. Doug Ohm had already built the entire shop when i found that on Ebay. Was going to use it for a color furnace, but physically its larger than the space I have for it. I will probably offer it for sale if you know anyone in the Philly area that might be interested. nfg = New Fislerville Glassworks. In 1850 the original Fislerville Glassworks was established in this town, which changed its name to Clayton in the 1860's. This house is a continuation of that heritage. Clevenger Brothers was the last of the line till me. they just closed down in 1999. Thanks for your interests. Jeff

Are you still on the site that Clevenger Bros used? I visited there a few times.

Not on clevengers site. They tried to sell it to me several times but it was a total mess. I built a brand new facility on the other side of town. Clevengers was still oil fired and had huge day tanks and a falling down building. Fell free to visit anytime your in the area. Jeff

shew,,,glad to hear that you moved. That place was a throwback for sure. He tried to sell it to me as well back in '98 or so for $600k. Their mirroring operation was scary as hell too. I know they made tons of money and pissed it away for many years. At the end, they would sell those globes by the truckload to the highest bidder. Must be nice, but they pissed off every account they had doing so.

They were a very strange bunch, right out of the 1800's. Tried to sell me the joint everytime i saw him, wasnt hard to walk away from for sure. My shop is an opposite of that one. I like to think its a nice comfortable place to work. Those that have found it seem to like it a lot.

It traveled well dont think it needs a rebuild. Needs a home. Annealer and glory hole available also. Jeff
