For sale: MU 200/100 gas furnace for sale. I made this furnace with a "HUB" DIY kit. $3000 o.b.o. 5 years old. 5"castolite, 10" fiber backing. Gathering ports 12" lg & 7" sm. Includes recuperator and Thermjet burner. Melts nice glass.
Therms/month = 1153 melting 400 pounds batch every week. The recuperator need some love. Two crucibles fit inside, one #300 and one #90 EC. Works great for blowing straight from furnace. Can send pictures or visit link below,

let me show some ignorance here. Who makes an "MU" furnace. What is the gathering port size? How thick is the insulation?

that would be a hub unit.

Actually, I knew that. I was trying to get Lynn to flesh out the advertisement a little bit.

I agree, think that hub makes the best equipment on the market. I would not waste any time on anything else. That is a great deal. Can you estimate what you spend a month on the unit?

Drew to answer your question?
Per month I consume an average of 1153 therms X $1.30 per therm. You need to know what your utility company charges per therms (plus all taxes, license fees, public purpose taxes and service fees) Basically the nickel and dime fees.

I am days away from installing my new #300 Stadelman furnace. Hopefully before new years. So I need to make room under my hood. That means my MU 200/100 needs to go. I have no extra space. I have pictures I can email. I can sell all controls or just the superstructure, what do you need?

It's always a tough job to explain to someone that you are getting a Porsche and that you have to sell them that Ford Pinto you absolutely worship.
