Interfusions: Combining Techniques from Furnace, Flame and Kiln
October 23-25
Participants will explore the multi-step process of making, breaking, arranging and firing components to create test tiles and fused panels using 90 COE glass. Lampworking and blowing will be used as tools for developing individual and unusual effects in fused glass.

--Design Elements
-Lampworing

--Stringers
--Latticino
-Blown Designs
--Blown Paterns
--Color Shards
--Pulled Cane
Martha’s personalized style of instruction allows participants to explore the techniques that are most interesting to them. Whether you are new to glass or an experienced glass artist, this highly individualized workshop will give you tools, inspiration, and information necessary to broaden your range of expression in glass and develop a personal style.
Martha Kauppi earned a B.A. in studio art from Michigan State University. In 1996, she began to work primarily with glass. She combines kilnworking, off-hand furnace work, blowing, flameworking, and occasionally coldwork to create extraordinary wall art using pattern, light, space, and shadow as design elements.
