I recently acquired and moved an existing Hot-Shop I am now looking to re-install it close by to my home. The location is 1 hour’s drive from Montreal or Ottawa (south-east of Alexandria, Ontario).

I hope to use the studio for 2 days per week (maximum) with the remainder of the week available for the partner to use for his or her own purposes.

I am looking for an off-hand glass artist to lead the setup and hold the “prime bench” position while using the facilities to develop their own line.

A retail sales gallery on site is a possibility.

Tools and Equipment:

Hot shop
· 140 Lb electric furnace
· 200,000btu glory hole (Dudley head)
· 24”x24” colour box/annealer
· 48”x48” annealer
· gaffers bench
· 2- marvers
· pipes, jacks, shears, tweezers etc.
· graphite blocks (3/4” – 5”)

Warm shop
· 48”x60”x27” kiln
· 48”x36”x9” kiln
· Kiln furniture and molds

Cold shop
· Flat lap
· Diamond grinder
· 7.5 HP compressor
· 48”x32” Skat sand/shot blaster

Machine shop and welding shop available on site.

I expect to negotiate an equitable apportioning of the operating and overhead costs.

A serious time commitment is needed to make this work.

I will be making the decision to take in a partner or go it alone (restricted subset of tools) in the month of September so if you have any questions or interest get posting.

Thanks all,

Eric Covington
