"In Portland, you can put a bird on anything and just call it art." (http://www.putabirdonit.com/http://talk.craftweb.com/index.php)

What's even more perfect for me is that the bridge in the background of that video also happens to be the "view" from my "office."

I don't know, maybe I don't get the jokes....to me it looks like they are portraying glass artists are vacant assholes with no clue. (no comment there Pete). It does not make me or my business look good at all.......maybe I just need to lighten up.

Mark, the series is mocking Portland and all of it's denizens. No matter what occupation or walk of life. Don't take it personally ;)

I liked the one on Professional baseball teams and the mayor. Even so, standing alone I thought it was really excellent.

I just discovered Portlandia and most of them are really great. Applies very nicely to San Francisco as well. It's a bit Seinfeldian.

it runs with the old line a friend of mine, Larry Bell said "A good artist never blames his tools, he blames his assistant." The guy in the film takes responsibility for absolutely nothing, right down to the mucus messing up the color work. When the woman is shocked, it's her fault. She has been mysteriously sick since she arrived, totally her fault. The guy is totally self absorbed and there are too many artists who are that way, enough so that the parody works. It's not aimed at you, it's aimed at the classic narcissist artist. I know some.
