when one makes hollow eggs, do you completely close off the bottom? If not, how do you cold work and avoid filling the interior with bits of glass and water, almost impossible to get out?

Hi Pringle. I make mine hollow and fire polish the one end. I find it difficult to get a really good egg shape without making them hollow. Have fun - easter's coming soon!

Hey barb! was thinking about you the other day - how's life? Enjoyed hanging with you at GAS but sure wished I had come by your studio for a visit. Gotta get the copper thing going......

Hey Pringle - yes just jump in and try it - you really won't regret it....maybe eggs on copper and then you don't need to worry about fire polishing! I'm currently in Philadelphia here for the flower show until March 12th....loving this city! Hope you are well...

Barb - I wish I had known you were on the east coast! I would have invited you to my studio for a training tutorial to teach this old dog some new tricks!!!! And to show you the beauty of Carolina of course... oh well, another time.

Thanks Pringle for the invite - another time it will have to be....I leave here the 12th and move on to San Francisco on the 19th.....can't wait to be home for a while in April! But I'm loving the weather here in Philly (sunny and 60 today) while Seattle is getting more snow!
