My son is starting an internship at Intel in Mid may and we are looking at buying a used car for him that is in Renton at Walkers Renton Subaru. I have gotten the car fax and it shows nothing wrong with the car but I would like to get it checked out by a reputable mechanic.

So, My question is: Is there anyone on Craftweb who is in that area who can recommend a mechanic who could do it?

Thanks People.

Car talk has recommendations. I used it once in Texas and had good luck. You might try that if you don't get more direct recommendations.

Wish I could help, Pete, but I'm off to NY in ten days, and working every day until departure. Also, I no longer know a mechanic I'd personally recommend. The best are aging-out of the business, and the young ones can read a printout, but that's about all.

Charles or Barb might know someone. Good luck.

Hey Pete - I have a good friend who is an excellent mechanic but he's north of Seattle and I'm not sure he has time to travel down there. I can ask tho if you want?
