I made two color paddles/tags out of Damascus steel and I'm selling one of them. Its made from the steel in the upper left of this photo and instead of having a rounded top, it's square. The handle is stainless steel and the damascus is welded into it. The welds aren't perfect because I'm a glassblower, not a welder. $150 +shipping.

Also for sale is the attached parcioffi. They are beautifully broken in. They may have been used by Chihuly, Dante, Billy Morris and Lino. Possibly carved out of a solid billet of steel and forged in the furnaces on the banks of the river Styx. The finish is made from metal oxides in a range of exotic colors that are actually *part* of the metal--not just painted on! The wood may have come from 10,000 year old trees from the deepest jungles of the Amazon rainforest. Your glass will likely be perfect if you use these. Bidding starts at $1500.

Actually think they are Dino's but someone stamped Jim Moore on them

They look like they were recovered from the Titanic's glassblowing program

Liefspring Ericsson could have made them in Vineland?

I've had a few requests for dims and pics of the finished damascus color paddle. It's overall length is about 14" and the paddle part is 3 3/8" wide by 7 1/4" tall. The damascus is beefy; I didn't measure the thickness but probably between 2-3 mm. This damascus steel is (3) layers of 52100, (4) layers of 5160, (3) layers of 203E, and (3) layers of 15N20. The steel is forged out and folded 5 times to give 416 layers. Handle is stainless steel tube. These pics are the exact one for sale.

I made it because I do a lot of large overlays and was seeing the strap of my jacks starting to get a bit wavy from all the heat. Bought a color paddle from Jim but found it boring to look at on my bench. Damascus is beautiful.

Bidding war and it was gone quickly. I plan on making some damascus tags for squeezing cane, so more cool damascus in a couple months.
