I was really surprised recently when I suggested to a New Zealand client that she try contacting chinese manufacturers regarding elements since coming from American now runs a gauntlet of chinese customs which have stiffened up, the Trump Tariffs and the squirrlyness of the companies regarding insurance- all reasons why I stopped handling elements.

But what really surprised me was the price quote on a 9/18 312/500 60A. They wanted $390.00 per element if I understood the email correctly and I think I did. That is a huge price jump from where all of this started although it is still half of what an American manufacturer wants. I think I used to pay about $110.00 for one of those things.

It amazes me how many moly element manufacturers there are located in Zhengzhou, Henan China.

It's amazing how many manufactures of *everything* are in Zhengzhou.
