If the coil has been heated even once, I'd say forget it. You could try and heat it again and uncoil it while hot, but it's a losing game for the most part.

If it is a 'just wound' coil, never heated, then you should be able to unwind the coil to a larger diameter if you are careful, but realistically it's probably better to just wind a new coil at the desired diameter.
