Sometimes social networking works!

Just thought I'd pass this along to the scoffers and naysayers out there regarding social networking as a marketing tool....I was able to make contact with an editor of Fine Gardening magazine through Twitter. My icicle lights are now featured in their latest issue due in stores very soon. Sneak peek here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Glass-...8909119?ref=ts

I seriously doubt I would have had this kind of reception contacting them "cold". Here's a another link to an article about "Why Artists and Creatives Have an Unfair Advantage at Internet Marketing" which is really helpful too.
