Eaton 80 Amp Contactor
Brand New in Original Box - Eaton DILM80 XTCE080F00A Contactor
3P 80A 110/120VAC 50/60Hz. This was a spare that I apparently purchased for my 200lb Stadelman which I no longer have. $200

That is an expensive contactor. Great price.

How expensive is it and why would this type of relay be expensive?

It gives years of cheerful silent service. Well built, good positive clamps for wires. It appears to me to be capable of three phase as well as single based on the numbers. The ones I had for the 150AMP units ran $700 bucks.

A new one of these is $262 at Galco.com. But they say it takes 12 days to arrive, so that'd be a problem if one needed a timely replacement. I have this same size furnace, and was considering buying from Brian to have a spare on the shelf, but I'm also curious how often these contactors fail. Mine's been going for 10+ years so far. I also might not keep this furnace for more than another year so that's on my mind too as far as needing spare parts on the shelf.
