Old Wm Dixon Co. Crucible kiln

Found an old, "unused" crucible kiln on Craigslist.

Anyone seen one of these before?

Yes I have seen these before. Dixon crucible company has a interesting history. Same Dixon we know for pencils also patented graphite black for wood stoves and patents for crucibles. I think these were to used as foundry kilns for melting metals. Iíve never seen one in working order.
