I've had my shop insured for 20 years or so with State Farm Insurance. This weekend I got a notice my insurance is being cancelled because they "don't provide coverage for businesses engaged in the manufacturing and installation of glassware". We went through this about a year ago when I talked to one of the workers at the local State Farm office. I needed to insure the new studio we were in the process of building. We worked through it and got insured again but now insure through a new office in the new location. My call to them said they would look into it but mentioned State Farm had looked at my website ( redfernglass.com ) and come to this conclusion. My website does not say that I install these works. I think their category is not exactly what I do. I may install some glass on rare occasions, once a year or so, but primarily I make glass, ship it out, someone else installs it.
Anyone else use State Farm? How about other insurance companies?
