National 3A-B torch tips

Just picked up a second hand National 3A - B torch with a ribbon burner head which I would like to change.
Wondering what tips anyone is using for spot heating and colour application work at the bench.
I've read that surface mix is the way to go with colour, but I'm assuming that the surface mix tips won't work on this model torch being a premix - is that right?

Thanks

You are correct. It is a premix torch, with the gases mixing together inside the handle. Choose a tip size that is the size of the area of glass you want to heat.
A little larger is better then too small.
