Anyone work with local schools?

Does anyone run a non-profit or work with local schools? Particularly K-12.

Curious what your education programs look like. Structure, goals, that sort of thing.

My partner is looking to develop a program at the shop. She finishing her Master's in Art Education. We also have a Master's in Music Education on the team. 501(c)3 is looking better for at least that side of the business if we can do some kind of hybrid public/private entity. Grants, etc.

We also have 3 large four-year universities. I think I can snag something with one.

Links, websites, information would be appreciated!

I ran after school programs and workshops for quite a while, usually at the elementary school level but also other grades and venues. Too much to detail but feel free to message me for my two cents.

Check out the Tulsa Glassblowing School and Glass Roots in NJ. They are the two places I know of that do a lot of work with students.

Try Punaho (SP?) High School in Honolulu. Hugh ran that remarkable program forever.

Awesome. That's perfect. Hugh Jenkins! I recognize that name!

I'm "stoked" for the future. My next shop is gonna be awesssommmmeeee (and profitable). AND we get to work with the community. Throw some social justice thru glassblowing there

Art. Science. History. Trade. Glass has it all

Hugh had a serious very well funded program. It continues today. It's a well funded school.
