Need a book on color theory
Can anyone recommend a good book on color theory, especially as it applies to glass. Does the transparent nature of some glass change the rules?. Do the "usual" rules apply, like for oil paints, pastels, etc? Thx

From a painters background, this is one of my favorites - "Color Choices - Making Sense out of Color Theory" by Stephen Quiller.
Easy read, a basic kind of a color for dummies for painters - stuctured color; monochromatic and complementary, analgeous, split complementary and triadic color schemes....... Geared toward watercolors - in particular, which can be somewhat helpfull for glass - layering, etc....a basic platform. Glass is so different the way colors react with each other though.... |
