Old blocks seem to sell well on Ebay. I wonder how newspaper discards would do?

In reality? It works. I've seen it more than enough times. Pickers come through and get them, They sell at greenhouses. It can be surprising although not at those prices, but $200.00? I've seen plenty of those,

Think about unit values. Apply it to money this way: There are amounts of money a family can spend without triggering "The conversation" You've seen it enough times at fairs or in galleries. Once the conversation starts, It's a killer. You've all seen it.

Everyone has a unit value. Some can't spend more than five dollars without the conversation. for others, the unit is twenty thousand dollars. For some, the first lady can spend $95,000 dollars in a Cairo Hotel in six hours and not even stay the night. It simply depends on the excess number of dollars you have.

There's a lot that don't think $2,000 dollars is a meaningful number.

In the gallery I always think of in Santa Fe, Forest Fenn talked unit values in the same way. He told me he only wanted people coming in the door who had unit values above $20,000 dollars.

I can’t get my head around that. But it makes sense.

I worked for a designer who got take out every night for dinner and paid $25 every night for her dog to eat a filet mignon. It made me feel like a pheasant. No.... a peasant!!!! Damn autocorrect.

When a pot is done, take some color rod ( if you must) and drizzle it on the lip of the pot and into the bottom. Do lots of this, kind of like Dale's squiggle paintings. Then shut down. Leave it conspicuously in view if you have any kind of public access. It's far better if the pot looks like swiss cheese and better still if you use actual translucent color. Color left in the bottom is a big plus. You could even blow big bubbles of color and intentionally stick them to the pot wall. A great response to polyvidrio or vinyl or whatever he calls it.

In my early Santa Fe days, we built these little tanks out of crystalite brick. Rebuilds came frequently and the tank came off the furnace stand as a heavy unit. People in Santa Fe loved putting them in Adobe walls around 36 inch high. There was always a demand. The glass in the bottom of one of those things could take off your finger but it was in the days before liability wrecked everything.

Mark Peiser used to 100's of them stacked in his yard. I guess he better put a camera on them so they don't all walk off.

When i am trying to put a hole in the bottom I use a air chisel take out the glass with a flat blade and then knock out a hole from the outside in seems to work best for me.
