Do Gaffer's duro colours contain Pb?
Hey, just wondering if anyone knows if Gaffer's duros contain lead.
I was under the impression that enamels of course do but these duros do not. Asking because I had some cane where some Se/Cd transparents went dark after touching white duro underneath. I did not do a layer of clear in between as I would have with what I was certain would contain Pb. Cane in question still showed nice colors after first pull (filigrana) and second pull (flat cane), but then seemed to go dark when piece was made with the flat cane. Thanks.

to the best of my knowledge, based on recent conversations with John, they do indeed contain lead. High Alumina makes this goop stiff. The EU has told Murano that in can no longer make the enamel with lead and arsenic they have made for centuries. It's a big deal over there.

What are the LEC's of Murano glass like Pete? Are they anywhere near our 96 standard? Curious if they'd be buying bars now if they are no longer able to make their own.
