G-Tec Gas Booster 30 for bench torch
Does anyone use a natural gas pressure intensifier for a bench fluffy torch? We're thinking of getting one, setting up multiple bench torches and doing away with the hand MAPP bottle torches and propane tanks.

It should be fine. just mind your PSI requirements for the said torch.
Get yours self a Oxygen Generator while you are at it. Charles

![]() I saw that very model posted on a Boro group on Facebook!
I couldn't believe it! I've been trying to find something like this for years to no avail. Is this the solution to the mobile glass rig? http://www.gas-tec.com/cylinders.html *130 cubic feet cylinder, 25-500psi, up to 500schf (1schf = 1020BTUs, so 500schf= 510,000 BTU?) *will not freeze like propane *can be transported laying down, and has "been shot with a bullet near an open flame" and not exploded. The Giberson 255 burner is 150k BTU. I am having trouble finding the psi requirements, but I know it is low pressure. Soooo.... is there anything preventing me from running "Gloria" on this for mobile gigs? Is this a dream come true...? How long would 130 cubic feet last? Not long, right? I suck with propane/gas conversions. Maybe the dream ain't quite the reality here. ![]() |

So, if I'm reading this right, 100 ccf of natural gas = 100,000btu = 1 therm.
So that means this 130 ccf cylinder is about equal to 1 gallon propane = 1 therm. Or, 1 hour of operation. ![]() ![]() |

You're doing kind of an apples to oranges comparison. The natural gas is a gas and the propane is in liquid form. A 20lb BBQ propane tank gets you about 138 cuft of propane gas. You would have to liquefy your natural gas to get the same performance as propane.
