Link? I really avoid facebook unless there's no choice. The disinformation over there can really be profound.

I did... with kindness. Dennis Hetland is pretty much on a permanent ban here for misrepresentations of a variety of things. Do you remember his "come, work here, Drive my Mercedes" and it turned out to be a chopped Mercedes that had the back cut off and it went to the dump? . That the same guy who had the "Sacred Geometry" in the fabulous new electric kiln if you recall that. He can only spend his life trying to pull other people down.

So you give me plenty of fuel to keep him banned. He simply doesn't tell the truth.

In reality, David Williams was a sad and very troubled soul who seemed fairly paranoid. He spent the bulk of his time attcking Bullseye ( Lani really had fits about him) but never really did any artwork that was going to help him float to the top. I had heard about his suicide which I think happened in Oregon. I did meet him on Maui about 20 years ago and he seemed completely unsettled in his life.

If Facebook scares Stephen King...

I use an app that prevents Facebook ads from appearing, and I never approve "friends" I don't already know.

I'll always have my admirers Shawn. There are people who simply can't stand the idea that they have to order their high temp pots through my business. They actually like that they bill only one person a month for pots. Do take note that I designed the pots and have acted as consultant to High Temp on everything but the kitchen sink when it comes to studio glass. When I first met with Roger, they were making straight walled pots and could not sell them At that time, I was moving away from E.C. over quality control and certain ethics issues. John Bartell at LeClede always said that I put Engineered Ceramics on the map as to crucible sales and I think that's fair. I think I've had similar affects with High Temp. Dennis was one of the difficult ones. It hasn't changed. I still have a lot on my plate.

Just because you melt glass doesn't mean you're sane. The tin foil hat crowd is well represented on FB and apparently some blow glass.

I've always found it odd about how being correct about something can make you so many enemies.

I just won't allow opportunists to take a foothold here without a solid basis in science. That makes some people very unhappy. Fortunately it doesn't happen very frequently.

I'm in that group, but I can't see the thread. I assume it's because it is one that Dennis started. He blocked me when I made a smartass comment on his earlier rant that helped get him banned here.

I have the dubious honor of having known him personally. It was brief, and thankfully other circumstances interfered with me having any further contact.

I really have no axe to grind with him. He still owes me for the last day of production work I did for him, but it's not worth it to pursue it.

I think those Dennis responses may have been deleted. It was pretty out there. I wish I had a screen shot. Funny at first glance but really sad as well because you could very quickly see it was someone who needs real help.

To the guarding angels on the board, thank you very much.
Like my grand daughter says, there are big scary monsters out there.

well as I said, I have my detractors. I do like the notion of a 100K reward for links to David William's death. I'll see if Mary Beth wants to collect it. Other wise it's clearly that woman from Bullseye that done him in. Our agents are everywhere.

Beyond that, It's good to see Dennis is footloose and fancy free again. People are so strange.

This is all strikingly similar to a renter I had. He started off friendly enough, quirky, but once the switch flipped you were the devil incarnate. Seemed to go with the phase of the moon on a medicated/self medicated cycle. They say not to speak ill of the dead, I'll make an exception for him.

When I look at the registrations for craftweb, which we had to cover up back when David was still alive, it shows about 1100 registered here at one time or another. We used to clean it out but it takes too long. On average we have 300+ people looking at it at any given time. I've seen 3,000 plus on a few times.

I think I've banned maybe five people over the 15 years I've done this. When I think about how many crazy people there are in anyone's family, particularly around the holidays, I think we do really well actually.

I only met David once on Maui over fifteen years ago for about an hour. He seemed troubled then. He aimed the bulk of his venom at Lani MacGregor at Bullseye. He wound up banned for putting up links to porn sites in his posts. I've never met Dennis and will pass if given the opportunity. The notion that $100K is being offered up for proof that I killed him is really remarkable. That's a sick mind. Sacred Geometry indeed.

Pure symptoms of unmedicated BiPolar disorder. I seem to know more than my share.

I'd generally agree that we're a friendly flock, but with our fair share of crackpots and snakes. I've noticed that attitudes change regionally, and it's often one that poisons the bunch. I've had a tendency not to suffer those fools gladly, and that persistence tends to pay off in the end.

There are pills that help fix crazy, buy only helps if they take them.
