Yikes. My father was a cable splicer for over four decades for the power company in northern California that is now so beloved. He saw people die, and I believe tried to resuscitate one. It should say something about our relationship that I'm such a layperson with electrical.

Joking aside, I know enough to not mess around with what I don't understand.
