Compatability concern?

This piece jumped off the punty last night. As I was looking at the shards, I noticed that the glass broke apart in layers. Should I be overly concerned when we go for this one again? Any advice or analysis is appreciated.

If it jumped off and broke into those pieces I don't think you can tell much of anything. Just see what happens next time when it makes it in the box. You could have thrown some bigger shards into the annealer at the time and gotten an idea of how the colors would behave.
I like to take nice colorful chunks like that and cut them down with tile nippers to the size of a pendant. Use some nichrome wire or copper for a fusable bale and presto...$10.

I would prefer fundamental basic testing.

I did throw the main body piece into the annealer, so I will check it out.

I pseudo assume that colors marketed as tested compatible by the manufacturer would be, well, compatible. The only thing that is raising my eyebrows is the way it broke when it hit the floor.

I thought maybe the vast collective here might have seen something in the shards that was apparent to those more experienced than I.
