Both of my grandfathers died before I was born. My maternal grandfather died in his late 40's from a congenital heart condition. They couldn't detect things like that back then. Then there's all the stuff I've done/still do that will shave years off. Now at 51 I consider everything from here on out to be gravy.

On the other hand, my maternal grandmother lived to be 99. Buried two husbands and one child. I'm hoping some of that DNA rubbed-off on me.

Yep, gained five pounds since May. Time to get moving...
