I'm going to guess on the stiff side since they claim they've done away with the boric, and haven't said what else they're using for a flux.
I never tried the original "studio" nuggets, only the "new formula", which was mediocre on the blowing side, but worked fine with their sheet glass. The cut off supersaks were a mess of hot garbage. Dirty, stiff, corrosive, didn't want to fine, short pot life, and yellow. Really yellow. Though you could collect some interesting stalactites from opening of the furnace. I'm lucky that I can manage to buy in advance of need, so I've managed to stay ahead of the constant crisis with minimal headache.
I kinda wish bullseye was better to blow with since they seem to have their act together and might actually be able to keep with demand. Also that it was a 96. It's an odd hot glass, sloppy soup right out of the oven, then straight to a rock with no in between. |
