I'll be there! My stompin' grounds.

St. Pete is actually a really cool city, and if I count correctly there will be 6 hot shops by the end of the year.

Plus the toxic algae and red tide is gone (for now) so the beach this time of year is the shit.

You can rent a whole house 15-20 minutes away on airbnb for $100 a night, by the way.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'd be interested in a new thread about the latest iteration of the deadman switch. How is this latest one better/different from the existing one that you developed? Will pricing be similar?

Hope this is OK with Pete.
"Charley's Gas Saver" is made with two machined parts that are screwed toghter to make an adjustable (On-Center Measurement of fuel/oxygen tubes) to fit torches from different manufactures, including European models and torches that are not made anymore. OCM from 3/4" to 1 1/4" or more if needed.
The lock is built-in (so I cannot call it a Deadman switch) but still removeable to make it so. Also, installing is made easier (no need to take old torch completely apart) just remove in-put fittings from old torch valves, reattach new gas tubes to old torch valves, use the compression fittings on the gas tubes to install onto manifold and then relocate in-put fittings.
The push button valves are still the same medical grade SS, pressurized-on is closed. Prices is the same.
Will be sold by National Torch Co. and Wale Apparatus. First viewing and sale will be at GAS 2019

So.... they only have demos scheduled 8:30am-12:00pm. 3 hot shops, 2 flameworking demos, and coldworking all at the same time.

Almost nothing after 12:00pm as far as demos.

SO... you basically can only see 2 of the 12 demos scheduled each day.

How the hell does that make any sense?

Does the word "Dumb" ring any bells? I would note that Mitchell Veenstra is doing a demo/presentation of how to make simple colors from clear glass which I view as a good start for the unwashed. I'd like to hear how the turnout for that goes. Beyond that, Corning is an excellent place to hold a conference in glass unless your interest is in a party every year.

This ? Meh.

Still wondering where in Sweden the 2020 is going to be held. Thinking Stockholm but is there a venue or area it would be.
