making photochromic glass

good day

I ran across this video on YouTube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUcUy7SqdS0

has anyone out there had any experience making photochromic
glass?

the gent in video gives a formula around 27:00 that has confused the
heck out of me (ie a whole bunch of stuff but no silica)

thanks from one confused lurker

If you're truly interested in photochromatic glasses you'll want to look at a book called Glass Ceramics and Photo-sitalls by Berezhnoĭ

Thanks for the info
Looks like a trip the the 42nd street reference library is in order
or I have to find a library that can get me an inter-library loan
It will be a couple more years till my SHE WHO MUST be OBEYED
retires from her job and I can then try to build a studio to make
glass.
