Walter Evans RIP!!!

I just received a letter from Geneva Evans that Walter passed away September 20, 2015. He was 80 years old. What a great guy, and an amazing glassblower. I knew him for over 25 yrs, and got to blow glass with him many times. He was such a great help to the glass community. And he sure could spin a great yarn. He is missed.

Too sad. R.I.P., Walter. And, sorry about the ones I let dry out.

Sad day indeed. Enjoyed our chats - though they weren't many.

Sad to hear of Walter Evan's passing. He was always helpful whether it was about glass or business. He visited with me about employees once and said if you have employees you are going to have employee problems. He also questioned the surge in glass blowers and wondered where all the glass was going to go. At one point he said his customer base went from something like 900 to 1500 in one year. At the same time a lot of the old glass makers that really knew what they were doing were going out of business.

I have yet to buy blocks from anyone else.
