Oceanside frit for blowing

Has anyone used the new(?) Oceanside frit? I see they make a green, blue, and black aventurine and that has me curious.

Guessing it would only be compatible with their glass, given that it's based off the old Spectrum formula.

I've gotten away with using some spectum(uroboros) in the past with system premium, but yes, it shouldn't actually be compatible with a 96. The blue adventuring is particularly finicky. The other big issue that you're going to run into is that they're also not formulated to be stretched, the colors are "thin" and are really only good for solid work.

Aventurine is always a question mark with compatibility. If you can test you should.

All System 96 aventurine was produced at Spectrum's facility. Crushing, packaging, and labeling were done at Uroboros. As I've stated several times in the forums, about 75% of the glass for frit, stringers, noodles, and rods (and other miscellaneous components) were processed at Uroboros from cullet shipped from Spectrum.

The actual bright spot in all of this is with one entity handling the entire manufacturing process there should be more consistency to all products (whatever ends up surviving). I'm skeptical about the blowing nuggets/cullet/whatever surviving.

Do you think this is old stock that Oceanside got when they purchased the Spectrum line or are they actually making it themselves now?
