I am about to shut my furnace off and rebuild. Looking for opinions i have a thermjet 250 my question is should I pull the head hot or wait till it cools to pull it. Just seeing what experiences people have had. Thank you

Is it likely stuck in place?

If you think it will come out easily when cold, leave it in place. If not pull out hot and wrap ceramic part of the burner in flax to cool slowly.

spell check strikes again; "Flax".

Frax I suspect. It will burn up linen after all.

Ours came out easy after we were cold. Though it didn't really matter as ours was trashed and needed to be replaced.

Don't do anything to put it at risk, those things are expensive. We had to replace ours in our rebuild (it was 12 years old).
