Guy that I worked with at the factory in Portland said he once floated a McDonald's cheeseburger in one of the 1,500lb. day tanks. They watched in fascination how the component parts burned-off at different rates. I can't remember how long he said it took for it to stop burning, but it left a distinct square on the surface of the glass that wouldn't go away. They had to skim that part. Most likely the calcium from the "cheese."
