I have two pairs of the larger ones. While the jaws are adjustable, pay attention to what the jaw material is. They are also used for cutting Piano wire and those will not do well cutting cane which needs the carbide jaws. The jaws are not cheap from Starrett. I bought Eveline a pair with the Piano wire and recall they cost me about $150 on the Bay. The jaws replacements are close to that. I have a spare pair of jaws but I've never needed them in ten years. The screws on the other hand get loose really easily and disappear. It is an absolute Cadillac of a nipper. You can use them all day and your hand will never tire. I have two since the opening is limited and my cane varies. A half inch is about the max.
Where are we going and why am I in this basket?
