Cnn has a caption that “ the president crafted a last-ditch effort to save himself”
That cant possibly be true ,because what he read from the teleprompter was in perfect coherent and well phrased english The aides made a gargantuan effort writing that, and actually kept him from going off the rails too- |

I think the last ditch effort was trying to prevent the ratification of the electoral college Michael.
The follow up, doubtless crafted by by Pat Cippilone is the white house version of denying intent. Trump has consistently done that. Now, we have a capitol policeman dead from being beaten with a fire extinguisher. Two weeks ago, we had a plot foiled to kidnap the governor of Michigan. Pelosis is intent on the impeachment. The cabinet finds it easier to resign rather than have to vote to remove him. His third alternative is to resign, probably the easiest. He will still be subject to charges. He now talks of self pardoning which won't work. Trump started with control of the House, the Senate and the Whitehouse. He ends with losing the house, the senate and the whitehouse. Tired of all that winning I suppose.

I wonder what will happen on Inauguration Day .. more “peaceful” protests ?
These are some sad times we live in.

Being overly skeptical, I wonder if Frump's Tweet that he was not attending the Inauguration was a way of letting his followers know they don't have to worry about injuring him during any protest action. The line of thinking expressed in the article sheds a whole new light on what took place Wednesday, and possible activity that could continue into the Inauguration. If an adversary wanted to strike a blow against the US, the "Useful Idiot" could have set the stage. Especially in light of the obvious lack of Police presence on Wednesday.

Pelosi had a conversation yesterday with Mark Milley about President Chump's nuclear authorities, asking for them to be 'limited'. The nuclear code/"football" issue has been on my mind since he was voted the nominee 5 years ago.

The anticipation of a wild cat Trump have indeed been considered and addressed by the pentagon including illegal orders, or so I understand. I think Pat's concern has been duly noted as well. I don't expect an open inauguration.
I'd like to see him in public stocks for a month outside the capitol, then jail him. Take Giuliani and the rest of the enablers with him. Only five dead, one a police officer. It could have been far worse. The one guy with 11 Molotov cocktails. Statehouses around the country had best gear up. There were five during this event, even in Utah.

Institutional racism notwithstanding, issues around white supremacist sensibilities within law enforcement and the military is nothing new (at least in my experience). During my youth in California there were instances of police being found with Nazi imagery (one case inside an officer's locker, and another a photograph seen inside a squad car). LAPD is notorious for this.
My friends and I calling police Nazis wasn't entirely hyperbole. That being said I find it unsurprising there was little resistance from law enforcement at the Capitol. A lawmaker from WV among the ranks, and I'm guessing plenty of veterans and other LE types. I don't see any of this ending well. Inauguration Day is going to be bad unless the FBI and other LE actually do their jobs. We will see another attempt at a coup on the 20th. This isn't over. I found this on social media today. I know it's close to impossible to determine the veracity of things like this. It could just be outside agitators either foreign or domestic. I'm wondering now if I'll be kicking myself in a couple of weeks for not stockpiling guns. 137219206_10222818537265339_7609445163517747831_n.jpg

I can no longer attempt to evaluate the meaning of "Snowflake" in most contexts.

The term or insult - “snowflake” implies that a person is easily prone to a melt down.

It's interesting to watch words creep into the language. I take note of "Shambolic" lately. Chyron as well, the centaur who taught Achilles originally referred to as Chiron. Ravel and unravel mean the same thing.
The was a wonderful movie recently called the Professor and the Madman in which Sean Penn gives an incredible performance in the study and usage of the English language. It's about the creation of the O.E.D.
