Leviathan Blocks

Has anyone used a Leviathan Block? They have detachable handles that screw into the block and I am worried it will fail when I need it most. I bought a block from Hotglasscolor.com and that is what they sent me. I would never buy one on purpose because it just seems iffy...

Art Reed Blocks

See this thread for a long conversation about options.

In my opinion, you'd have a hard time doing better than an Art Reed block. For me, they are the template that all others strive to match.

That piece of 1/4" all thread should hold fine, locktite is your friend. Didn't see how it's anchored into the block head, that would be the weak point in my mind.

We have been using a set since the GAS conference and have no failure as of yet. The counterweight handle feels great!

Mine are all holding up beautifully. All my future blocks will be from Leviathan.

Someone was asking about brass stamps on a social media site not too long ago. I threw out Leviathan as another option (not meaning to endorse, but just "here's someone else you might try").

Someone really went off about how crappy their customer service is, and all other manner of complaints. I can't help but think it was a competitor. Definitely someone with an axe to grind.

I can't say either way since I haven't used their products, or dealt with them at all. I just keep hearing good things about them.
